On
the 4th of March 1981 in Calgary, Alberta Canada
Larry and Kathy Kratt brought me into the world.
I was 8 weeks premature and thus had to spend
the first bit of my life in an incubator. One
year later my parents decided to pack up and
head back to their hometown of Regina, Saskatchewan
Canada. It would be here that I would spend the
next 19 or so years of my life.
I
went to Wilfrid Walker elementary school followed
by Dr. Martin LeBoldus high school. I spent one
year at the University of Regina but decided that
the
time had come for me to venture out on my own.
In the summer of 2000 I moved back to Calgary and
attended
the Alberta College of Art and Design's newly
formed Media Arts and Digital Technologies department.
In
the spring of 2003 I graduated with a BFA.
In
October 2004 I started as an intern at Orbital
Media but things really took off and I ended up
a Co-Project Lead on my first project Scurge:
Hive for the Nintendo GBA / DS.
On September 24th 2005 I married the woman of my dreams Bianca Kratt.
From
2005 to 2009 I was employed at GamesCafe where
I produced and designed Mah-Jomino as
well as the mega hit "Sally's" franchise including: Sally's
Salon, Sally's Spa, Sally's
Salon DS and Sally's
Spa iPhone.
On
February 12th 2009 Bianca and I became the proud
parents of our son Lincoln Joseph Kratt.
On
June 1st 2009 I stared work as the Senior Designer
at my current employer Ph03nix New Media where
both myself
and Craig
Rushforth
head up the internal development portion of BigStack
Studios (Ph03nix New Media's iPhone division).
Games we've produced include Poker Genius, Hottie
Hookups and Sigma.
I
have worked VERY hard and been VERY blessed.
